Before your bundle of joy comes home you should be keen to get the baby’s room ready in time for their arrival. The decorations will depend on gender of your little one. Decorating your baby’s room makes new beginning to your life and it will give a pleasant feeling to both mom and the baby.

Research have found that in the early stages of your baby’s life, they can only see shades of black, grey and white and their best vision is 8-12 inches away. The best way to decorate your newborn’s room is to use monochrome colors and patterns. This provides your baby with the best form of visual stimulation, it will also assist in brain growth and development.

Their eyes are sensitive to bright light, so will probably open their eyes in low light. Sometimes your newborn’s eyes will cross or drift outward (go “wall-eyed”), this is normal until your baby’s vision improves and eye muscles strengthen.

By the time your baby reaches three months old, it’s believed that they can see colors. And so, bringing some vibrancy into their nursery is essential for their continued development. Contrasting patterns, and movement are the things newborns like to look at most.
